Por fin llegó el DVD oficial del Museo Ghibli: una visita obligada para los fans de Ghibli, de la animación... y de la arquitectura. Y digo esto último porque el DVD, con unos 120 minutos de contenidos, así lo demuestra.
El video central del DVD es un paseo por el museo en sí, pero sobretodo una charla que mantienen Goro Miyazaki (director del museo) con Isao Takahata (miembro del estudio, gran amigo de Miyazaki y director de Hotaru no Haka, Pompoko o Tonari no Yamada kun). En esa charla (benditos subtítulos en inglés) se hace referencia a la fascinación que tiene Miyazaki, y el propio Takahata, por la arquitectura europea. Aprovechando sus múltiples viajes por Europa, Italia, Suecia, Francia, Alemania, por motivos laborales (en la época de la Toei), Miyazaki pudo ver muchos edificios de una cultura que le fascinaba, tomó muchos apuntes, fotografías, etc... Todo ello le sirvió, además de para hacer trabajos para Toei Animation (los clásicos Heidi, Marco, etc...) para tener una base de datos que utilizaría para proyectos del Studio Ghibli. Kiki Dekiveries Service, Un castillo en el cielo, Porco Rosso, Chihiro.
Gracias a esta charla-entrevista, vamos conociendo la forma de trabajar de Miyazaki, ya no sólo en sus proyectos animados, sino a la hora de diseñar el museo (según dice el propio Takahata, el museo se creó de la misma forma que una animación).
El resultado es maravilloso. Había visto fotos, si, pero verlo en vídeo te da muchos más datos.
Viendo las imágenes podemos captar la cantidad de detalles (carteles, vidrieras, escaleras, etc...). Una gozada para los fans del genio japonés.
Tras el vídeo principal, algo técnico para algunos, hay dos entrevistas (en esta ocasión sin subtítulos) a dos grandes de la animación occidental: John Lasseter (Pixar) y Yury Norshtein (un animador ruso). No entiendo muy bien inglés, pero Lasseter no paraba de alabar a Miyazaki, su trabajo y el museo en sí. Al señor Norshtein no le entendí.
Seguramente lo más interesante para la mayoría es el reportaje (más comercial si cabe) del museo: sin entrevistas y con voz en off en japonés, nos presentan el Museo desde la entrada, pasando por el hall, el cine y llegando hasta la cafetería y la tienda (hice mal en ver las imágenes de la tienda ^^) y todo en un cuarto de hora.
Por último, un par de trailers de la colección de DVDs Especiales de Ghibli.
Un gran DVD para los fans, una curiosidad para los seguidores, y una compra innecesaria para el resto. En algunas webs cuesta 4000Y, pero en Amazon Japon cuesta 2800 Y (algo es algo).
